Our bodies can become so used to a certain nervous system state that it can feel like a personality trait, rather than a symptom of unhealed trauma. We become so familiar with these protective measures we put in place during traumatic or challenging times, that they become pillars of our "personality." But what if who you've come to know isn't your authentic self? What if you could come back to your true nature? Who would you be then?

 HERE'S A RESOURCE WE CREATED TO EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS

Which includes: support between sessions, both top-down (brain) & bottom-up (body) approaches to healing (which is crucial to trauma recovery), community support, safe trauma informed approach, and a focus on BOTH internal and external healing. In addition, HERE is a blog post we wrote about the difference between working with a therapist compared to a trauma informed coach & practitioner.

BUT WHY FOCUS ON THE BODY?

As Somatic & Trauma Trained Coaches & Practitioners, our programs combine both top-down and bottom-up modalities to healing. Trauma is a Somatic Experience meaning it's experienced, stored and relived in and through our bodies. In fact, a trauma is defined as any event that is overwhelming to the nervous system! So the old talk therapy approach of rehashing old memories and "change your thoughts, change your life," isn't enough (and can even move you backward!).

Healing requires us to first SHOW, not tell, our body & nervous system that we are safe. 

Once we've done that, then we get to work on creating more supportive emotions, beliefs and behaviors. Then, we strategically make sure your external healing begins to fall into place -- your relationships repair, your overall health improves, your finances increase, and so so much more!

THE DETAILS...

  • All sessions will be completed via Zoom. You'll receive access to Britt or Meg's calendar, allowing you to book sessions that work for your busy schedule.
  • You'll receive the printed Healing Hub Workbook in the mail before the program begins. This, along with the online modules and additional resources will guide our time together.
  • A 30-minute Welcome Walkthrough Video will support us in diving right into what truly matters in Week 1.
  • You'll have access to the Healing Hub Membership community, providing opportunities to connect and co-regulate with others in the space.
  • Strategy calls with your support system are absolutely optional, and never mandatory.

I created this offering because, well, I've been in your shoes. I've trudged through the wake of trauma, convinced life would never change. Now, after nearly two decades of personal healing & hands-on work within the recovery space, my hope is that in our journey together--you find compassionate understanding that how you've learned to survive makes complete sense, and that now...it's safe to truly live the life you deserve. MEG.

Although I fulfill many different roles (wife, mom, former teacher, etc), being both a survivor and a coach are the two roles that have really shaped me into who I am today. This space exists with the intention that survivors won't have to look far and wide like I did for the resources & support they need to help them heal. I can't wait to watch you live in the present and take hold of the beautiful future you deserve.
